Spending 30 hours in the car with my family in 4 days, I took a much needed vacation and trip to my roots of suburban Pennsylvania and Ohio. There were no fireworks on July 4th, which seems to be a reoccurring pattern in my life, just sparklers. And sparklers and sparklers and sparklers. I was reminded of the Matchbox lyrics, “Maybe you’ll find something that’s enough to keep you but if the bright lights don’t receive you you should turn yourself around and come on home.”
